About the Training
Inspire. Engage. Empower. Transform Classrooms. Shape Futures.
The most effective classrooms are no longer built on passive instruction. Today's learners need to think, communicate, and collaborate — and teachers need the tools to make that happen. This training moves beyond traditional lecture-based approaches to explore the communicative methods that are reshaping ESL education worldwide.
Across four focused sessions, participants explore inquiry-based and concept-based learning, problem-based learning, and project-based learning — three interconnected approaches that put students at the centre of the learning process. The day closes with a practical workshop where participants design activities they can use in their own classrooms immediately. Every session combines theory, live demonstration, and hands-on practice.
Training Programme
Four Sessions. One Transformative Day.
Each session builds on the last — from inquiry and understanding, through problem-solving and project design, to hands-on classroom application.
Inquiry-Based & Concept-Based Learning
Move beyond surface-level instruction by encouraging deeper thinking through student inquiry and conceptual understanding. This session explores how to design lessons that prompt learners to ask questions, investigate ideas, and build genuine comprehension — developing the thinking skills that underpin effective communication.
- Encouraging deeper thinking through guided inquiry
- Building conceptual understanding over rote memorisation
- Designing questions that drive student exploration
Problem-Based Learning
Develop students' real-world communication, collaboration, and critical thinking through structured problem-solving tasks. Participants explore how to create scenarios that require learners to negotiate, reason, and communicate in English — building the skills they need beyond the classroom.
- Real-world communication through authentic problems
- Collaboration and critical thinking in the ESL classroom
- Structured tasks that develop genuine language competence
Project-Based Learning
Design communication-driven projects that create long-term engagement and meaningful student output. This session covers how to structure projects that sustain motivation, develop multiple language skills simultaneously, and give learners ownership of their learning journey.
- Long-term engagement through meaningful projects
- Communication-driven output and student ownership
- Integrating multiple language skills in one framework
Practical Workshop
Put theory into practice. In this hands-on session, participants design and rehearse adaptable activities they can take directly into their own classrooms. Work collaboratively, receive feedback, and leave with a toolkit of ready-to-use communicative activities.
- Hands-on classroom application
- Interactive participation and peer feedback
- Adaptable activities for immediate use
